Immunity Boosting Juice

I try to drink fresh juice as often as I can, especially for breakfast. Fresh juice has so many health benefits, and it is an easy way to get more fruits and vegetables into your diet. By eating produce in its raw state, you are preserving many of the micronutrients that can be destroyed during the cooking process. Juicing also allows your body to easily absorb nutrients, as it doesn't have to work as hard to digest the fiber that you would get from whole fruits and veggies. I love that I can enjoy a much larger variety of healthy foods from juicing, which I may not want to normally include in my salads. Today I want to share the recipe for one of my favorite juices, enjoy!

Immunity Boosting Juice

Ingredients 

  • 5 carrots 
  • 4 oranges 
  • 1/2" piece of fresh ginger

Recipe

  1. Use a juicing machine to freshly juice the carrots, oranges, and ginger. Blend the juices well, pour into a cup and enjoy!

Tips

  • I like to refrigerate my produce the night before I juice, that way it will come out cold when I make it the next morning.
  • If you find yourself short on time in the mornings, try preparing your juice the night before and store it in a mason jar with a lid. Juice does lose some of its potency the longer it sits, so make sure not to prepare your juice more than 24 hours in advance.
