4 Super Easy Health Habits To Try Today!

We all want to add healthy habits into our lives, but sometimes that's easier said than done. With everything we have going on, it can be hard to add yet another task to our day that promotes a healthy body. Taking good care of your body doesn't have to be difficult, it's all about making small changes that add up to big results. Try out these 4 super easy health habits that won't take much time or effort, and will seamlessly blend into even the busiest day.

Blackstrap Molasses

Blackstrap molasses has so many benefits, it's hard to even know where to begin! Blackstrap molasses is made during the refining process of cane sugar. Unlike regular molasses that is boiled twice, blackstrap is boiled three times, which creates a highly concentrated mixture of vitamins and minerals. It's high levels of calcium and magnesium help to build bones and fight against osteoporosis. If you struggle with anemia or low iron levels, it can help with this too, with 5 tablespoons containing 95 percent of your daily allowance. If you struggle with frizzy or damaged hair, you can even use it as a hair mask to condition and soften your locks. Try taking two tablespoons of blackstrap molasses, first thing in the morning to get lots of health benefits!

Lemon Water

One of my favorite ways to start off my day is to drink a large glass of lemon water. Lemon water helps to detoxify the body, flushing out unwanted toxins as well as aiding in healthy digestion, which leads to less bloating. Of course lemon is an excellent source of vitamin C, which plays a big role in warding off sickness and boosting your immune system. In addition to keeping you cold-free, vitamin C also helps fight off free radicals, as well as boost your skins collagen production. Start off your morning by slicing half a lemon and placing it into a liter of water.

Probiotics

With 80 percent of our immune system located in our digestive tract, it's essential to make sure that it is healthy and taken care of! Probiotics are the good bacteria that line the digestive tract and help to keep the body healthy. Many foods and medications that we consume actually kill off the healthy probiotics in our system, which can lead to an overproduction of bad bacteria that is harmful to the body. By taking probiotic supplements, we can maintain a healthy balance of bacteria and allow our bodies to fight off illnesses on its own. By taking one capsule of probiotics daily, you can help balance out your body. I personally take VegLife BellyFlora, which is 100% dairy-free and vegan.

Dry Brushing

I absolutely love dry brushing! It's such an easy way to take care of my body and skin, and it doesn't take much time or effort out of my day. If you've never heard of dry brushing, it's when you take a specially made brush and rub it on your skin in upward motions, working towards the heart. Dry brushing helps to exfoliate and remove dead, flaky skin, increases blood circulation, decrease ingrown hairs, and gives the skin an overall "glowing" appearance. To receive the most benefits, try dry brushing everyday before showering, or even better, before an Epsom salt bath. Check out my full post on dry brushing here!
