Birthday Look

Birthday Look

IMG_5731.JPG

For my birthday makeup, I wanted to go for a dark, sultry look. I used plums and rose golds on my eyes and lips, and focused on making my skin really clean and flawless. I enjoyed wearing this look and got a lot of compliments that night. For my hair, I wanted it to go well with my makeup so I slicked it back behind my ears, which paired really well. Continue reading to find out the products I used to achieve this look!

Eyes

I primed my eyes with Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion and set the primer by lightly dusting on Strange from my Naked 3 palette. I patted on Trick all over my lid, followed by Nooner, Buzz, and Factory in my crease, all from the Naked 3. I dusted Virgin by Urban Decay into my inner corners. I applied my winged liner with Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 77. I smudged Carbon by MAC into my lower lash line followed by Trick, bringing the color down slightly lower than the black liner. I finished off the look with a pair of Ardell lashes in Double Up 205 and two coats of Benefit They're Real Mascara in black. I filled in my brows using ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Ash Brown.

Face

After applying moisturizer to my face and neck, I put on a thin layer of POREfessional Face Primer by Benefit. After allowing that to set into my skin for a minute, I applied my first layer of NARS All Day Luminous Foundation in Gobi using my Beauty Blender. I allowed it to set for 30 seconds and followed up with another thin layer of foundation to get a really flawless look. I used an orange shadow from Make Up For Ever under my eyes to cancel out any darkness, before applying my MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer in NW 20, smoothing it in with my Beauty Blender. I set my under eyes by lightly patting on Cover FX Pressed Mineral Foundation in G20. I set the rest of my face with Coty Airspun Loose Translucent Powder, also, using it to bake under my eyes, on my forehead, and chin area. I contoured the hollows of my cheeks, my jaw line, down the sides of my nose, and my hairline above my forehead with my ABH Contour Kit using the color Fawn. I dusted off all the excess setting powder and followed up with blush using Spice by NYX. I set my face by liberally spraying MAC Fix Plus all over, fully saturating all my makeup. Once the setting spray dried, I highlighted the tops of my cheek and down the bridge of my nose with MAC Soft and Gentle.

Lips

Using all MAC products, I lined my lips using Vino, slightly overdrawing my upper lip, and followed with Rebel to fill the rest in. I cleaned up the area around my lips to create a sharp, clean look using a small concealer brush and MAC Matchmaster Concealer in 1.5.

Hair

After blow drying my hair straight, I pushed my bangs behind my ears, pinning them back with alligator clips to set it in place. I sprayed the top with hairspray to secure the look, and to make it smooth and sleek. After about 15 minutes, I removed the clips and smoothed the hair down with a fine tooth comb, giving it another spray of hairspray to finish the look.

That completes my birthday look, I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know if you try to recreated this look by tagging me in your pictures!
