Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl

I love switching up my usual morning smoothie and enjoying it in a bowl with yummy toppings. Today's breakfast is a mixed berry smoothie bowl, which is both filling and super healthy! I love adding ingredients like flax seed and oats to my breakfast, which adds lots of nutrients and makes the bowl really satisfying. The berries in this smoothie add lots of antioxidant benefits, while the bananas add loads of potassium. Check out my recipe below!

Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl

  • 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries
  • 3 bananas (reserve 1/2 of banana for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1/2 container fresh blueberries (reserve a large handful for topping)
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons oats (reserve 2 tablespoons for topping)
  • 1/2 - 1 cup water (as needed)

  • Mix the frozen berries, 2 1/2 bananas, flax seed,  blueberries, and oats in a blender. Slowly add the water until the desired consistency is reached. 
  • Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with fresh banana slices, handful of blueberries, and 2 tablespoons of oats. Enjoy!
