In late December I started pondering what New Year's Resolutions I wanted to commit to in 2016. I set out some big goals for myself, like getting in the best shape of my life, which you can read about here. I also made some smaller, but still very important resolutions for myself. One of these resolutions was to take better care of my skin. Not only am I working hard to heal my persistent acne and get my face back to being clear and bright, I am also working on taking better care of the skin on the rest of my body too. I don't know about you, but when I am in a crunch for time, putting on body lotions is one of the last things on my mind. Lately, I have gotten into a really bad habit of going days and days without using body lotion, which leaves my skin very dry and itchy. My decision for 2016 was to take care of my whole body, and to start with a better skin regimen.

St. Ives Skin Challenge

I recently received an Influenster VoxBox full of goodies from St. Ives, and thought they would be the perfect products to incorporate into my new skincare routine. In my box, I received the new Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion, the Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Body Wash, and the Nourished & Smooth Oatmeal Scrub + Mask. I wanted to commit to using these products, in addition to my normal skincare routine, in order to give my skin the proper treatment that it needs during the winter.

Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion

I have been using this lotion for a little over three weeks now and I am absolutely in love! My body tends to get really dry, especially on my legs, so I have been using this lotion right out of the shower and before bed, and it has made a big difference on my skin. Not only do my legs not get dry and itchy anymore, but it has also improved the overall appearance of my skin. It is a lightweight formula, so it doesn't feel heavy or greasy, and yet it still provides the right amount of moisture for me during the winter months.

Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Body Wash

I usually have a hard time finding a great body wash that smells nice, and does its job. My skin can get very dry and itchy if I'm not careful about the soap I am using, but this body wash leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean, without irritation. I love the fact that it has natural exfoliants to keep my dry winter skin soft and smooth. With my busy schedule, this is the perfect option for me as it exfoliates and cleanses at the same time, saving me from adding an extra step to my routine.

Nourished & Smooth Oatmeal Scrub + Mask

I used to love using St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub, but found that as I got older, it was a little too harsh on my sensitive skin. I was really excited when St. Ives came out with this oatmeal scrub, which is a much gentler exfoliant that doesn't irritate my skin. I like that I am able to use this scrub daily if I want, as it won't harm my skin or cause any microscopic tears. The oatmeal does double duty, not only exfoliating the skin, but also nourishing and moisturizing the skin. This is a great scrub for those with sensitive and/or dry skin.

I can't wait to continue using these products as part of my everyday skin care routine! I will be sharing my updated results with you when I go through all of these bottles.

Has anyone else included skin care as part of their New Year's resolution? Share with me in the comments, I'd love to hear from you!
