The Complete Breakfast Smoothie

I can't get enough of my morning smoothies. They are a great way to pack in nutrients first thing in the morning, and I love the convenience factor! Lately, I have been experimenting with new combinations and I have come up with something that I really enjoy! It's the perfect mixture of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. It is very filling and helps me to stay full all morning until lunch time. Check out my yummy recipe below!

The Complete Breakfast Smoothie

  • 2 ripe bananas (they should be spotty and brown)
  • 1/2 cup frozen antioxidant berry mix (contains blueberries, cherries, pomegranates, strawberries, and raspberries, I get mine at Smart & Final)
  • 1/4 cup dried oats 
  • 3-4 dates
  • 1/2 cup water (use as needed to get desired consistency)
  • 1 cup spinach (optional)

Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

This smoothie can be made the night before and stored in the refrigerator for a quick and easy breakfast the next day! Reusable travel cups are perfect to store this in, and to take with you on your way to work, school, or errands.
